Warranty and Complaints


We care about our products and logically do our best to deliver them to you in top condition. Nevertheless, it sometimes happens that an order is broken during transport or that something else happens that allows you to make a claim under warranty. From a legal point of view, you are obliged to report this to us within two months of discovering the defect. If the defect falls within the warranty, we will take care of repair or replacement free of charge.



It can always happen that something does not go quite as planned. We recommend that you first make complaints known to us by emailing contact@happybeardiapers.com. If this does not lead to a solution, it is possible to register your dispute for mediation via Stichting WebwinkelKeur via https://www.webwinkelkeur.nl/consument/geschil/. From 15 February 2016 it is also possible for consumers in the EU to register complaints via the ODR platform of the European Commission. This ODR platform can be found at http://ec.europa.eu/odr. If your complaint is not yet being handled elsewhere, you are free to file your complaint via the European Union platform.


Short delivery

If you have accidentally received an incorrect article, or if an article is missing, you can report this via our contact form. As all items are checked when they leave the warehouse, this is fortunately rare. If it does happen, we will of course send the article to you.


Product warranty

Any irregularity noted upon receipt of the products, such as missing or broken stitching, holes in the fabric or other damage to the material, must be reported immediately to HappyBear Diapers within 48 hours in order to qualify for a replacement under warranty. HappyBear Diaper offers a one year warranty on the following:

– Manufacturing or sewing errors in material due to quality of workmanship
– Manufacturing defects in the lamination of the products used with the diaper pants, training pants, pocket diaper and swim diaper. HappyBear Diapers offers a six-month warranty on the following:
- Snap fasteners on products (this does not include a small difference in space when placing a snap fastener)
– Elastics and Velcro (this does not include slight stretching of the material from normal daily use)
If a claim is made during the warranty period and the delivered product(s) is found to be defective after evaluation, HappyBear Diapers will, at its option:
(i) repair and return the product to the same quality of an equivalent product in terms of age and expected use, or
(ii) replace the product with a new item, or
(iii) refund your purchase price in exchange for returning your defective product.
When a product is replaced or repaired, the original date of purchase will remain valid and the warranty period will not change in any way. If a refund is issued, all refunded items become the property of HappyBear Diapers.
This warranty does not apply to:
(i) consumables, such as bamboo inserts, unless a problem has occurred due to a manufacturing defect in material or workmanship;
(ii) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, unless a product problem has occurred due to a manufacturing defect in material or workmanship;
(iii) to damage caused by use with a third party part or product that does not comply with the HappyBear Diapers product manual, such as improper use of (bleach) detergents, items or nappy pants from other brands;
(iv) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, contact with noxious and/or chemical liquids, or any other external cause;
(v) to damage caused by misuse of the HappyBear products outside of the user manual and/or published guidelines;
(vi) to damage caused by the repair, alteration or opening of the product by anyone who is not a representative of HappyBear;
(vii) defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to normal aging of the HappyBear product;
(viii) if the person making the claim to HappyBear Diapers is not the original purchaser and cannot provide proof of purchase in any way.
