Use our handy bamboo inserts to collect faeces. After changing, throw the insert in the trash. You can basically collect the stool with this.

Depending on whether you want to switch completely or try it first. An complete package of washable diapers for the entire diaper period  contains about 25 washable diapers. This is sufficient for most families if you wash once every 2-3 days. If you have more children, change more often or want to wash less often, it is useful to buy some more diapers. You'll soon find out what you feel most comfortable with.

The amount of diapers depends on the type of washable diaper and the number of times you can wash per week. A bamboo diaper has a longer drying time than a pocket diaper. If you also use the bamboo diapers for the day, you will need more diapers. It also depends on the environment where you let the diapers dry. In general, the diapers are dry after 24 hours. You can also throw them in the dryer on a cold setting, but this will make the diapers wear out a little faster.

Before first use, the nappies and the boosters supplied must be pre-washed to remove loose fibers and production residues. Washable diapers and boosters need to be washed more often before they absorb more. You can compare this with a new towel, which also absorbs better the more you wash it.

With every change you change the complete diaper, including boosters.

Put the dirty diapers in a dry and closed laundry bag or laundry basket. Store soiled diapers for up to 3 days before washing.

Preferably use a powdered detergent without perfume, without bleaching agents with a maximum of 5% enzymes and soap. Do not use fabric softeners, stain removers or bleaches. The fabric softener can leave a 'layer' on the boosters, making them less absorbent. Don't overfill the washing machine to avoid washing your diapers and boosters properly.

The diapers should not be put in the dryer. The heat can melt and damage the waterproof layer of the pocket diaper and the diaper pants. The elastic can also be damaged at high temperatures. The inserts can be put in the dryer on a cold setting. Hang the diapers on a drying rack with the wide front facing up.

Although you just need two microfibre boosters can use, parents find the combination of 1 microfibre booster and 1 bamboo booster together with 1 hemp boosters works best. The microfibre booster absorbs quickly and retains less moisture, while the bamboo and hemp booster absorbs less quickly, but retains more moisture. When using multiple boosters, make sure that the microfibre booster is always on top.

The best combination does not exist, because this differs per child. A child who pees a lot at once will benefit more from an extra booster insert, while a child with smaller pees will benefit more from a combination of other boosters. So in the beginning it is mainly experimenting which combination boosters work best for your child.

A washable diaper that leaks can have several causes. Is the diaper properly fitted and are there no openings at the legs and back? Press the diaper firmly into the groin. There should be some free space in the abdomen.

If the diaper still leaks, then the diapers are not absorbing enough. Your baby may be urinating too much or you may need to change the diapers more quickly. Try a different one or an extra booster in the diaper.

Washable nappies and liners need to be washed about 10x before they reach their maximum absorbency.

To remove stains, it is best to let the diapers and boosters dry in the sun. The sun acts as a natural bleaching agent to remove stains from your boosters and cloth nappies.
