The number of washable diapers you need depends on your situation and wishes. We offer various packages. If you don't want to switch completely, you can use cloth diapers part-time. For a complete change you will need approximately 25-30 diapers. You can also choose to only use washable diapers during the day and opt for disposable diapers at daycare, the babysitter or on holiday. Do what you feel comfortable with.

The diapers and associated boosters must be pre-washed before first use. By washing you activate the absorption capacity, compare this with how a new towel only really absorbs moisture after several washes. You will notice that the absorption becomes optimal after about 6 washes.

Yes, you have to change the entire diaper. With pocket diapers and All-In-One / Day diapers you must always replace the entire diaper. Only with two-piece diapers can you reuse the waterproof diaper pants, but you must always replace the inner bamboo diaper. This ensures that your baby stays dry and comfortable.

All HappyBear diapers are 'one size' and adjustable in size with the press studs on the front. Our diapers are suitable for children from approximately 4kg to 15kg, so from birth to toilet training. For newborn children you can remove the supplied booster because you do not need it yet. The diaper is then a lot more compact in terms of fit.

The washable diapers have adjustable snaps or Velcro closures for a customizable fit. Make sure the diaper fits well around the legs and back.

A pre-wash in cold water is recommended, followed by a main wash at 60 degrees with the appropriate detergent. Use detergent without added enzymes, bleach or fabric softeners for washing All-In-One day diapers. Most washing powders for colored laundry meet this requirement. Do not use eco washing programs, they use too little water to wash the diapers clean. The washable diapers should not be exposed to high temperatures to prevent the waterproof layer from melting or the elastic from being damaged. Loose boosters may be put in the dryer.
