Cheaper than disposable diapers? Absolute!

Washable diapers expensive? Absolutely not. Yes, it requires a one-time, larger investment, but it is without a doubt the best investment you can make. Let's be honest, how much money have you already spent on the rest of your layette?

Research from renowned organizations, including Milieu Centraal and the Consumers' Association, confirms that washable diapers are cheaper than disposable diapers, even when you take the costs of washing into account.

Depending on the brand of diapers you use, you can save an average of $1,000 over the entire diaper period. It is not only a financially smart move, but also a sustainable choice for the future of your child and our planet.

HappyBear - a sustainable alternative to disposable diapers

With our diapers you significantly reduce waste and avoid the use of at least 5,500 disposable diapers during your little one's diaper period. That is truly sustainable! At HappyBear we believe that every little bit helps. With our diapers you not only reduce waste, but you also save on the use of disposable diapers. Every diaper you save contributes to a greener future.

HappyBear washable diapers are not only a practical choice; it is a step towards a more sustainable lifestyle. Make the switch today and contribute to a greener future for generations to come!

Natural substances - less chance of skin irritations and allergic reactions

Did you know that some babies react sensitively to the composition of disposable diapers, resulting in rashes and allergic reactions? At HappyBear we understand that the delicate baby skin deserves extra protection.

Our washable diapers are made with carefully chosen natural materials, which minimizes the risk of irritation. No unnecessary additives, just pure softness that your little one's sensitive skin deserves.

Potty training faster in washable diapers from HappyBear

Did you know that children who wear HappyBear washable diapers often have a head start in toilet training? Compare this to previous generations, when children were raised without modern conveniences.

In modern times, children are often toilet trained later than before the introduction of disposable diapers. HappyBear washable diapers offer a natural advantage - children feel 'wetness' more quickly, which increases their awareness. This awareness can contribute to a smoother transition to toilet training.

Helpful Tips for a Great Start!

First use

The diapers and associated boosters must be pre-washed before first use. By washing you activate the absorption capacity, compare this with how a new towel only really absorbs moisture after several washes. You will notice that the absorption becomes optimal after about 6 washes.

Use of inserts

An insert is a thin sheet that you place in the diaper to collect stool. The insert is made of biodegradable material, it allows moisture to pass through and makes it easy to remove feces during changing. You can throw away after changing. The inserts come on a roll with 100 of them, so good for quite a few changes. Would you like to see an example of how to place an insert? You can see all this in our explanation video about the inserts.

Adjust size

All HappyBear washable diapers are 'one size' diapers and are suitable from approximately 4-5kg to 15kg. We believe that we are even more sustainable because with adjustable one size products, you only have to make the purchase once. By adjusting the press studs on the front you can quickly and conveniently adjust the size of the washable diapers.

Storing and washing the diapers

Store dirty diapers in a closed diaper bin. You can also store them in our laundry net and simply throw them in the washing machine. We recommend not keeping dirty diapers for longer than 3 days.

A pre-wash in cold water is recommended, followed by a main wash at 60 degrees with the appropriate detergent. Use detergent without added enzymes, bleach or fabric softeners when washing cloth diapers. Most washing powders for colored laundry meet this requirement. Do not use eco washing programs, they use too little water to wash the diapers clean. The washable diapers should not be exposed to high temperatures to prevent the waterproof layer from melting or the elastic from being damaged. Loose boosters may be put in the dryer.

Drying the diapers

Preferably hang the diapers out to dry, do not use a dryer to prevent damage to the waterproof layer and the elastic. Inserts can be tumble dried on a cold setting. Preferably hang the diapers in the sun on a drying rack because the sun is a natural bleaching agent and reduces stains that may arise during use.
